Who am I…
My name is Darrell Gray, II. Though a native of Baltimore, MD, I have lived in various states and traveled across the world following God’s will for my life. In doing so, I have been fulfilling my calling to a life of service through Medicine.
I’m currently working at Tenwek hospital in Bomet, Kenya as part of my internal medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center. However, I will be going on to GI fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in July 2010. God has continually rained his favor over my life and given me dominion over the enemy. But the best is yet to come!
Special thanks to my family, church families in Baltimore (@ Sharon Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. A.C.D Vaughn) and Durham (@World Overcomers Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Andy Thompson), friends, the Christian Medical and Dental Association, and the World Medical Mission Samaritan’s Purse for their prayers and financial support that allowed me to make this journey.

Brother Darryl,
My husband, Franklin, and I met and became lifelong friends with your step-father Will Johnson as students at the University of Virginia – late 70′s through early 80′s. We met and fell in deep admiration and love with your mother after they married and meet the two of them occasionally for dinner. When they asked us to contribute to support you on this journey, I had no idea that we were going to be treated with such earnest, insightful, truly heartfelt and moving messages and updates from you about your experience. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!
I do my best to mention you in my prayers every day, but I just prayed a special prayer that the Creator will continue to bless you with good health, fortitude, grace, wisdom, integrity, compassion,…and all of the qualities that you are living and demonstrating everyday through God’s love.
May you be continually blessed!
